MAPPING RURAL-URBAN INTERSECTIONS
"Cartographic Excursions: Storytelling in Urban Space", the map I created in the workshop visualises the rural-urban blur and the complexity of urban peripheries, addressing key areas such as urban fringing, peripheral development, factors influencing urban development, production spaces, access and green tissue analysis. This map, which also analyses the villages and rural areas in Istanbul, contributes to the spatial analysis of these transition zones between urban and rural areas and provides an interesting study in terms of urban design and research.
